Fight Back!

Catholics were mistreated by many groups in the United States. They’ve been though a lot but never gave up. They did everything they could to get equal rights just like any other person in the world and they didn’t care who would try to stop them because they were giving it there all.

Catholics found a way to be treated like they should be. They decided to gown in with the American society but still keep their religion the same and to keep practicing it. They even gowned in both World Wars so it would look like they were a part of the group and fighting for these people. Gowning the American army shows how much passion is shown to the Americans and for them growing and becoming one of the army people. Catholics started getting the attention they needed from people so that they can see Catholics are just as equal and same as other people in the world and that all they were doing was fallowing there believes.  People then started growing the group and started seeing their bright side and gaining people to help the poor and have a better life for them. They opened homes for poor give them food, clothing ex. from what Catholics started doing people started seeing their good side and that they were never bad in the first place. Others started accepting them just for religion and for just having a religion. Catholics started getting better and better and before you know it John F. Kennedy was elected president. John F. Kennedy was a Catholic and had a hard time getting it as well but he still won and showed the people that Catholics were a part of something

Catholics fought long and hard for respect and at the end they got it. People started seeing a change and who Catholics are really are. growing that one group changed their life’s they tried their best to fit in with everyone which is what they did and still practice there religion and believes this group has been through so much and getting what they wanted at the end was worth it.

Mistreating Catholics

The Catholic are very well know in the United States and around the world but back then it was not. Catholics were discriminated by many different group and different types of people. Citizens who wanted to practice the catholic religion were very hard for them because they were not accepted and could not really do much about it ether.

In British history the Catholics were not treated fairly in a series of laws during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. After the Reformation, Roman Catholics in Britain had been harassed by numerous restrictions. In Britain, Roman Catholics could not purchase land, hold civil or military offices or seats in Parliament, inherit property, or practice their religion freely without incurring civil penalties. They also could not vote.

A person who came from other countries like Ireland and wanted to practice the Catholic religion was very hard to do since the Ku Klux Klan was agents them and controlling them and so did other groups as well. They would burn there houses and mostly everything they owned and leave them homeless. These groups also fought and killed many Catholics. People believed that by practicing the catholic religion they were destroying the United States.

Catholics in the states had a hard time when they practice their religion. They were discriminated by many groups like the Ku Klux Klan they only accepted the pure white and by the Protestants. The KKK has done many things to the Catholics and made their lives the worse but they still fought though it tills the end.

Cultural Catholics!

Most of the Catholics in the world probably fit into the category of cultural Catholics. This group is unlike any other type of groups in the world. Their known as "Catholic" their more social than religious and most people know them as "womb to tomb Catholics." Most were born in a Hispanic, Irish, Polish, or Italian family which means their baptized, married, and buried in the Catholic Church but have little or no concern about spiritual matters.

Cultural Catholic was established in 1983 to form a group of Catholic to techs the rights for Catholic and their own religion. They that religion was the most important and they did criticism any one else’s religion and just like other groups there are people that don’t like the cultural Catholics because the way they treat their own kind and how strict they are. Many people expect many things for Catholic people and how they think there rule molder and they have to fallow all the rules and laws that were passed for them.

Even though they have past thrower so much they still stuck to their religion and their believes it is very hard to do what they have don but they still kept on going with what they believed in and that is very special to them and their believes in life. Many groups went through a lot to get where they are but they still stuck it out and went all the way. Still today this group exists and helps out the Catholic in the world.
